8 Best AI Visibility Tools for Automotive Brands (Compared)

Eight AI visibility tools read against what OEM and dealer-group marketers need: per-country tracking, several brands, cited sources, share of voice, and model and dealer prompts.

Eight AI visibility tools read against what OEM and dealer-group marketers need: per-country tracking, several brands, cited sources, share of voice, and model and dealer prompts.

A shopper types "best hybrid SUV for a family of five" into ChatGPT, gets three models, then asks which dealer near them has one in stock. Both answers are shaped before anyone opens your configurator, and in our September automotive study, brand-owned domains appeared alongside 61.81% of recommendation answers (445 of 720 valid answers, ChatGPT and Google AI Mode pooled), so the pages behind those answers can be measured.

What no tool below documents is the dealer half: questions run for a dealer's own town, or prompt sets built for automotive. The pages are silent on it, which makes it a demo question. We read each vendor's pages in September 2026, ran no trials, and checked prices live; Dageno AI and LLMrefs also qualified and were cut at the eight-tool cap.

Five Questions to Put to Every Vendor Before the Demo

An OEM marketer and a dealer-group marketer want slightly different things, but both end up asking the same five questions. The sixth question, which nobody puts in a brochure, is whether the tool can tell you were recommended rather than merely name-checked next to a competitor's lease offer.

  • Per-country tracking. The same prompt run in each country you sell in. Documented by Qvery, Peec AI, AthenaHQ, Superlines, and OtterlyAI, and by Profound and Scrunch as pricing-table rows; Ahrefs does not document it. A country is not a city or a rooftop, which is where criterion five begins.

  • Several brands or rooftops in one account. OEM groups run several nameplates and dealer groups run several franchises. Documented by Peec AI, AthenaHQ, Superlines, OtterlyAI, and Profound, and by Qvery and Scrunch on a named tier; Ahrefs does not document it.

  • Cited sources. Which pages each answer drew on, your own model pages included; the number above is the reason. All eight document it in some form; Peec AI, OtterlyAI, and Ahrefs say URLs in writing.

  • Competitor share of voice. A shopping question almost always returns several brands in one answer. Documented by Qvery, Peec AI, AthenaHQ, Superlines, Ahrefs, and Scrunch; OtterlyAI and Profound do not document it.

  • Brand-and-model and dealer/local-market prompting. The vertical's own criterion: questions about a specific model, and questions about where to buy it near a given town. Qvery documents queries you add and edit in any country, and most vendors here describe prompts you choose, so a model question can be one of yours. None of the eight, Qvery included, documents runs pinned to a dealer's town or an automotive prompt set.

Every tool here names both ChatGPT and Google AI Mode as tracked on its own pages and publishes prices you can check.

Beyond that, a criterion is documented (the vendor's page says so), documented as not offered (which no vendor on this list says about any of the five), or not documented (the page is silent, a question for the demo and never a zero).

Two demo items sit outside the five. Tracking both engines is the entry bar, not proof that you get ChatGPT and Google AI Mode reported separately, so ask to see each engine reported on its own. And ask whether the tool shows a recommendation apart from a mention.

Every vendor here can count how often a brand appears. None of them documents the question a dealer principal asks: which dealer did the engine send the shopper to?

1. Qvery: Daily Two-Engine Tracking With Every Citation Tied to Its Query

Qvery Assistant answering a question about a brand's own AI visibility data in plain language, inside the Qvery app

Key Features:

  • Daily tracking of visibility, share of voice, and average rank across ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, in 200+ countries.

  • Every citation captured daily, tied to the query and the engine that produced it, so an answer's sources are never pooled across engines.

  • Your own queries: topics and queries are generated at onboarding, and you add and edit the model and dealer questions you care about.

  • Qvery Assistant in the app: ask in plain language about your own visibility, share of voice, citations, topics, and queries, or have it add queries, trigger a data run, or export a report.

Pricing:

  • Starter: €49 per month, 1 brand, 25 tracked queries.

  • Growth: €99 per month, 1 brand, 50 tracked queries.

  • Business: €199 with unlimited brands and 100 tracked queries (no billing period is printed on this tier).

  • All three include ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, daily query runs, unlimited countries, and unlimited seats.

Reddit Score: 85.0% Positive, over 20 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • "tracking mentions in local publications and external sites is key for AI visibility, like Qvery AI does." (r/smallbusiness)

Qvery is a tracker first. It runs the questions every day on both engines, in whichever countries you pick, and keeps each citation attached to the question and engine that produced it.

For an automotive team, that documents countries, cited sources, share of voice, and several brands, the last on Business ("Unlimited Brands"; Starter and Growth are "1 Brand").

Your own queries are where the automotive criterion lands: you can add "best midsize truck under $50,000" or "Ford dealer near Plano". Nothing on our pages promises runs pinned to a dealer's town, so test that in the trial.

We publish this post, so weigh the ranking accordingly. Start your free trial: the paid plans come with 7 free days and ask for no credit card.

2. Peec AI: Countries, Brands, and URL-Level Citations Together

The Peec AI homepage, showing its AI visibility tracking product

Key Features:

  • Sources and citations: "which URLs and domains the engine drew on to generate its answer (ChatGPT sources, Google AI Mode citations, Gemini grounding sources)."

  • Country coverage: "Track across all countries", and the Advanced tier lists multi-country as a plan row.

  • Multi-brand tracking with separate reporting for each client from one dashboard.

  • Share of voice against every tracked brand, tracked continuously.

Pricing:

  • Starter: $95 per month, 50 prompts, choose 3 models.

  • Pro: $245 per month, 150 prompts, choose 3 models.

  • Advanced: $495 per month, 350 prompts, choose 3 models, multi-country.

  • Enterprise: custom, billed annually, choose from all models, with API access.

Reddit Score: 68.6% Positive, over 51 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • "Peec: nothing bad to say about them. Good tool, doesn't cost an arm and a leg." (r/SaaS)

  • 51 mentions is the largest sample among the dedicated trackers on this list.

Peec AI documents countries, several brands, URL-level sources, and share of voice, and its citation line is the most precise on this list about what it reads from each engine. For an OEM whose model pages compete with review sites in Google AI Mode and with forums in ChatGPT, seeing those separately is the point.

Two lines need reconciling in the demo. One page says ChatGPT and Google AI Mode are "Included by default in every plan"; each self-serve tier says "Choose 3 models". Ask which three your tier runs, then ask whether a question can run for one dealer's town, which is not documented.

3. AthenaHQ: Brands and Markets Under One View

The AthenaHQ homepage, showing its AI visibility product for brands

Key Features:

  • Global scale: it says it operates "across brands, markets, and models."

  • Centralized tracking of share of voice, citation rate, and coverage across several brands and business units.

  • Source Intelligence, described as revealing the sources shaping AI answers.

  • Competitor share of voice comparison and an API for your own dashboards.

Pricing:

  • Essential: free, with $25 of credit and 300 credits. Its engine list names ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini, and Copilot, not Google AI Mode.

  • Starter: $295 per month, 3,600 credits, and the first tier with AI Mode; API access and extra credits are paid add-ons.

  • Enterprise: custom, with multi-region and multi-language support (the comparison table shows a single region on Starter).

Reddit Score: 57.1% Positive, over 7 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • A r/TechSEO teardown searched for AthenaHQ itself, reported the answer confusing it with other companies named Athena, and questioned the whole category. (r/TechSEO)

  • Seven mentions is a small base; the percentage is a direction, not a verdict.

AthenaHQ documents markets, several brands, sources, and share of voice, and "brands, markets" is close to the way an OEM with regional sales companies is organized. The plan table is the fine print: markets beyond one region sit on Enterprise, so a group selling in several countries is quoting Enterprise, not Starter.

Scheduled runs are not documented, and neither are runs pinned to a dealer's town. Ask how often your questions run and whether a dealer-market question can be pinned to a place.

4. Superlines: Market-Level Tracking Across Regions and Languages

The Superlines homepage, showing its AI search intelligence product and the engines it tracks

Key Features:

  • Real front-end answers: it says it tracks "the real front-end experiences users see" on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, and other engines.

  • Market-specific tracking "across regions and languages", with unlimited countries on every tier.

  • Citations with every source clearly labeled, and share of mentions against competitors with trend data.

  • Data access through an MCP server or REST API.

Pricing:

  • Enterprise: custom ("Tailored pricing"), up to 10 answer engines and unlimited brands.

  • Starter, Pro, and Growth each say "Pick any 3 answer engines", so ChatGPT and Google AI Mode use two of your three picks. Agency tiers carry the same prices for 5, 10, and 20 client brands.

Reddit Score: Too few mentions to score. One mention turned up, a r/SEO poster listing it among the platforms they had started demoing (r/SEO), and we publish a percentage only from five.

Superlines documents countries, several brands, labeled sources, and share of mentions, and it is the only vendor here that prices brands in a ladder a dealer group can read at a glance: one, three, seven, unlimited. Unlimited countries on every tier is the other line an importer with several markets will like.

Its sources are "clearly labeled"; whether that means individual URLs is not stated, so ask to see one model page traced to the answers that cited it. Runs pinned to a dealer's town are not documented.

5. OtterlyAI: Every Cited URL, Market by Market

The OtterlyAI homepage, showing its AI search visibility tracking product

Key Features:

  • Cited domains and URLs in AI answers, checked daily, with link-position changes over time.

  • Market-by-market reporting, "not as one global number that hides where you're invisible."

  • Workspaces for several brands or clients in one subscription: 1 on Lite, unlimited on Standard and Premium.

  • Public API for reports, prompts, citations, and workspace data.

Pricing:

  • Lite: $29 per month for 15 prompts, or $25 per month billed annually.

  • Standard: $189 per month for 100 prompts, or $160 per month billed annually.

  • Premium: $489 per month for 400 prompts, or $422 per month billed annually.

  • Enterprise: custom, from 1,000 prompts.

  • Each priced tier lists ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and MS Copilot. Google AI Mode is an add-on at $9 on Lite, $59 on Standard, and $149 on Premium, per month.

Reddit Score: 69.2% Positive, over 13 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • A r/digital_marketing poster found it on Reddit, tried it, and said it works well for tracking AI citations but does not cover the SEO side. (r/digital_marketing)

  • One negative mention calls the product confusing next to a competitor. (r/SaaS)

OtterlyAI documents per-market reporting, URL-level sources, and several brands on the tiers above Lite. For a dealer group that wants to see which inventory and review pages get cited in each market, the URL line is the useful one.

Competitor share of voice and runs pinned to a dealer's town are not documented. Price both engines, not the sticker: Standard plus the AI Mode add-on is $248 a month, and Lite's single workspace will not hold a second franchise.

6. Profound: Several Brand Environments, Sold Through a Demo

The Profound homepage, showing its answer engine insights product

Key Features:

  • Answer Engine Insights, tracking how engines "mention, rank, and describe a brand."

  • Citation Analysis of the websites that influence answers about you.

  • Agency Mode for several brand environments in one platform.

  • Up to nine answer engines on Enterprise, including Google AI Mode.

Pricing:

  • Trial: free, 50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, one region, no exports.

  • Enterprise: custom, a tailored prompt tracking plan and a custom number of regions.

Reddit Score: Too few mentions to score. One mention about Profound was in the sample, under the five-mention floor.

Profound documents cited sources, several brands through Agency Mode, and regions as a pricing-table row. Competitor share of voice is not named as such, and runs pinned to a dealer's town are not documented.

For this vertical, note that the trial runs without Google AI Mode, so the Google AI Mode half of both test questions happens in an Enterprise demo.

7. Ahrefs: AI Mode Tracking Inside an SEO Suite

The Ahrefs homepage, showing its SEO and Brand Radar product suite

Key Features:

  • Top cited pages: "The specific URLs most frequently cited alongside your brand."

  • Stored raw responses you can search for brand mentions and linked citations.

  • AI Mode share of voice against any competitor you choose, monitored daily.

  • Charts and exports, and ChatGPT among the platforms the tracker names.

Pricing:

  • Brand Radar AI: from $199 per month, sold as a standalone tool.

  • Core plans: Lite $129, Standard $249, Advanced $449 per month, with 5, 10, and 20 tracked AI prompts.

  • Enterprise: $1,499 per month, annual commitment required.

Reddit Score: 48.3% Positive, over 378 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • "Screaming Frog and Ahrefs are top tier tools and couldn't work without them." (r/bigseo)

  • The 378 mentions are about Ahrefs as an SEO suite, not about Brand Radar, so read the score as the suite's.

The case for Ahrefs is the suite. As Profound's own agency guide puts it, "Brand Radar lets agencies already working there watch AI mentions across about six engines without adding a tool." If your dealer marketing already lives in Ahrefs, that is a real saving in logins.

For this lens the suite documents cited pages and share of voice.

Per-country tracking, several brands, and runs pinned to a dealer's town are not documented, so a group across markets has three questions before the suite answer holds. Whether to keep a suite or add a specialist is its own decision, covered in our look at Semrush alternatives for AI visibility.

Keeping the suite saves a login. It does not add the countries or the brands a dealer group runs, and the demo has to show both.

8. Scrunch: Filter the Same Question by Engine

The Scrunch homepage, showing its AI visibility platform

Key Features:

  • Filter results by AI platform, ChatGPT and Google AI Mode among them.

  • Compare brand presence, competitive presence, position, sentiment, or citations across platforms.

  • Plan-table rows for citations and sources, countries (1 on Core, unlimited on Enterprise), and competitors (5 on Core, custom on Enterprise).

  • Brand workspaces: one on Core, a custom number on Enterprise.

Pricing:

  • Core: $250 per month, 125 prompts, 1 brand workspace, and four engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Copilot), with a 7-day free trial.

  • Enterprise: custom, nine engines including Google AI Mode, custom brand workspaces, and API access.

Reddit Score: 50.0% Positive, over 5 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • "I evaluated Scrunch too but at $250/month it was a bit much for my clients." (r/SaaS)

  • An employee of a competing tool, disclosed as such, filed it in the enterprise bucket. (r/SaaS)

Scrunch is on the list because the roster takes the five highest-ranked tools on our competitor leaderboard that clear the admission bar, and Scrunch is one of them. Its feature pages document little of this lens; its pricing table documents countries, brand workspaces, cited sources, and competitors as plan rows. Runs pinned to a dealer's town are not documented.

The engine filter is the useful habit for automotive: it lets you read one "best used EV under $30,000" question an engine at a time, sources included. The catch is that Google AI Mode appears on the Enterprise engine list and not on Core's.

Seven of the eight document per-country tracking in some form. None documents the town, which is the level a dealer is judged at.

What This Comparison Cannot Settle

This is a reading of vendor pages as of September 22, 2026: no product trials, no measured outcomes, and no automotive test set run through any tool.

The order is the roster's: Qvery first, then documented fit as our research scored it, ties broken by leaderboard rank. It names no winner for automotive results. We would love to tell you which tool finds your dealers fastest; nobody has put that claim in writing, and we are not going to put it there for them.

A Reddit Score says how people talk about a tool, mostly marketers and agencies rather than OEMs, and nothing about whether it measures correctly. The 61.81% in the introduction is the automotive study's figure, not this review's.

Run Two Test Questions Live

Write down which of the five you cannot do without, then use the criteria list at the top as the map: it names who documents each one.

Put every shortlisted vendor through the same two questions, live, in your own markets. First a brand-and-model question, such as "best three-row SUV for towing" with your model in the frame. Then a dealer question, such as "Toyota dealer near Scottsdale with hybrids in stock".

Ask to see ChatGPT and Google AI Mode separately, the sources each answer cited, and whether your brand was recommended or only mentioned. Buy the tool that shows you that on the plan you would pay for.

Pricing:

  • Pro: $245 per month, 150 prompts, choose 3 models.

  • Advanced: $495 per month, 350 prompts, choose 3 models, multi-country.

  • Enterprise: custom, billed annually, choose from all models, with API access.

Reddit Score: 68.6% Positive, over 51 mentions about the tool. What redditors say:

  • "Peec: nothing bad to say about them. Good tool, doesn't cost an arm and a leg." (r/SaaS)

  • 51 mentions is the largest sample among the dedicated trackers on this list.

4. Superlines: Market-Level Tracking Across Regions and Languages
